Tony Can Dance!

That is what Tony's Mom told Tony's Dad after she saw Tony perform in a show put on by his kindergarten on Friday Evening.

Dad had to work that evening so he missed the dance performance where apparently Tony lead a group of five of his classmates.

Mom now wants Tony to learn Hip-Hop Dancing.  Dad thinks Hip-Hop is barbaric and so demurs.

Daddy! I'm Coming!

When the front door to Casa Kaulins is locked from the inside, someone with a key cannot enter; they have to wait for for someone inside to unlock the door.

Monday evening, Dad was in such a scenario.  He was coming home from work and the door was locked.

His attempt to open the door summoned Tony.  Tony said, from the inside, "Daddy!  I am coming!"  Daddy thought how nice to was to hear Tony using the phrase.  He was learning more and more.  How wonderful!

Tony opened the door.  Mom then told Dad what Tony had done.  Tony was standing at the door when he told Dad he was coming; and then waited a moment before he opened the door.  So Tony wasn't using the words in the right way.

He will learn eventually, reasoned a deflated Dad.

A page dedicated to Tony's Grandfather Arnis Kaulins

Tony's full name is Anthony Arnis Peng Kaulins.  One of his middle names is that of his grandfather Arnis Kaulins who passed away on May 28, 2012.

Tony's father is working on a tribute page to Tony's grandfather.  The page is a work in progess.

What are you doing Daddy?

Friday morning, Dad beat up Mom and Tony.  That is, he got up earlier than them.  In fact, Dad beats them up every morning.  That is, he is always the first to get up.

This Friday, Tony beat Mom up.  Usually his parents both beat him up, but not this morning when Mom was the last to rise.

Dad was ironing clothes for work when Tony got up.  Tony left the bedroom and saw Dad in another room.  Loudly, startling his father, he asked "Daddy what are  you doing?"

His father replied that he was ironing his clothes and in turn asked Tony what he was doing.  Tony said "I go take pee!"  Dad reflected that Tony didn't speak in the continuous tense but yet was learning how to have more and more complex conversations; and so Dad thought what a nice moment that was.

Tony then went back to bed.

Tony is non-plussed by Jet Lag.

On Monday and Tuesday, Tony and his parents spent about 14 hours on planes to get from Canada to China.

And now, unlike his parents who want to get back to a regular sleep schedule and so are grumpy about it, Tony does seem at all perturbed by Jet Lag.  He has gotten up at four a.m., on Wednesday and Thursday, happily playing with his toys or jumping on his parents who are trying to sleep.

Where's Grandpa?

Tony asked where his grandfather was.

His last image was of his grandfather sleeping.
