Tony Doesn't Like Undone Buttons
Tony wore a polo shirt on Thursday to school.
Before he went to school, Tony asked his father to button up his shirt, right to the collar. Fathrer did up one of the two buttons on the shirt in order to let Tony have a open collar, but Tony still whined. It turned out that he wanted all the buttons done up.
Despite being told that it wasn't right to button up all the buttons by his mother, Tony insisted that they all be buttoned up.
Very strange but Tony is young.
Tony's Fifth Birthday falls on Chinese Lover's Day: August 23, 2012
Chinese Lover's day, 7/7 on the Lunar Calendar, is August 23rd this year. Normally, I don't celebrate the day because I only learn of it the day of, when it is too late.
This year, I know well in advance when 7/7 is coming but I don't think my wife does. We are more focused on Tony's fifth birthday.

Back to School!
Tony has just been picked up by the van that takes him to kindergarten. His summer vacation is now over.
Most of the other students start at the 3 and 3 kindergarten on September 1. Tony is starting early because his mother wants him to be used to kindergarten by the time all his classmates arrive. Tony is a whiny sort who takes longer than most to put up with things.
He didn't seem whiny this morning as he was woken up much earlier that he had become accustomed over the summer.
He spent the last evening of his Summer vacation at the nearby People's Square, playing in a sandbox with a toy shovel and plastic toy dump-trucks.

Tony's Back in Town!
Tony went to Beixin with his mother for three days.
He didn't get to go much because it rained heavily all the time he was there. In fact, it rained so heavily that he was scared.
Tony and his Mom will be back in Wuxi on Friday afternoon. Dad looks forward to seeing them both.
Tony's Birthday Is Two Weeks from August 9th
If you are reading this blog entry in 2012, Tony will be five on August 9.
His father can hardly wait to give his son his birthday presents. Dad thinks Tony will be quite impressed.

bù dǎ pì gǔ! 不 打 屁 股!
Thursday evening, Dad was walking around the house naked and so Mom decided to spank him with a plastic coat hanger.
Dad then said to son Tony: help!
Tony ran up to Mom, grabbed the hanger away from her, and then sternly pointed at his mother and said: bù dǎ pì gǔ! 不 打 屁 股! (translation: don't hit bum!)

Tony Disappears
Tony's Mom had a bit of a fright at the Supermarket on account of Tony. She was at the register, bagging her groceries and paying the cashier when she realized that Tony was no where to be seen.
She panicked and got annoyed with the cashier who didn't seem to have any sympathy for her plight. Everyone else who was in line and had seen Tony, told her they hadn't seen him go. She was practically crying then.
Fortunately, Tony showed up. He told Mom that he had gone to the public washroom to take a pee.
That was the furthest he had gone away from his parents on his own initiative.
